Fuel / Marcy Playground - The Evening Star, Niagara Falls, NY - July 12, 2017

Photos/review by Thomas S. Orwat Jr.

Niagara Falls, NY - 90's rock, chart toppers- Fuel and Marcy Playground, performed in the intimate setting of The Evening Star last Wednesday evening.  Fuel played an intense, high energy, ten-song set, which left their faithful fans wanting more.  The band, led by founder singer/songwriter/guitarist- Brett Scallions, is currently touring North America with a new line, which now includes: Jason Womack - guitar, Phil Buckman - bass and Shannon Boone -drums.

Midway during the show, Scallions commented on how the band spent the days prior to the show, camping in the Niagara Falls area and drinking the local beer. The band was in fine spririts, blasting through one hit after another, with the focus on material from their 1997 breakout release, 'Sunburn.'

Marcy Playground, who is best known for their huge 1997, alternative rock hit, 'Sex and Candy,' received a warm response from the crowd. The band, which consists of original members: John Wozniak-vocals/guitar, Dylan Keefe-bass, plus Shlomi Lavie-drums, reunited in 2009 and have been touring consistently ever since.
