Gruesome Twosome tour - Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie - Lewiston NY - 05-22-2010

Photos/Review by Thomas S. Orwat, Jr.

Lewiston, NY- The Gruesome Twosome tour featuring Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie finished their two month tour at Artpark in Lewiston, NY on Saturday night. And what a night it was, not a dull monent from the first note of Alice to the last of Zombie. The two A-list rock legends lived up to their reputation of  rock'em, shock'em and the nearly sold out audience ate it up with a grin.

The originator of shoch rock, Alice Cooper opened the show and slammed into one of his biggest hits "School's Out." It must be noted that Coop has an awesome band featuring Keri Kelli-guitar, Damon Johnson-guitar, Chuck Garric-bass and Jimmy Degrassi - drums. Alice proceeded with a set that included the majority of his greatest hits and almost of the classic Alice theatics were included, except there was no boa snake.

The most amazing aspect of this performance was the energy that Alice has. At the age of 62, Alice hasn't lost a step. His performance was as always Amazing and his voice sounded just as good, especially considering that this was the last date of a two month tour. Alice has plans to play a few more shows this summer and also start recording a new cd. For more information check out my interview with guitarist Damon Johnson here.
