Welcome to episode #82 of the Rock Interview Series. For this feature, I have Carl Dixon guitarist/vocalist and Andy Curran bassist/vocalist of the Canadian hard rock band Coney Hatch as my guests.
In addition to Dixon and Curran, Coney Hatch consists of Dave Ketchum- drums and Sean Kelly -lead guitar. The band released their debut record, Coney Hatch in 1982. This album was produced by Canadian rock legend Kim Mitchell and featured the tracks “Monkey Bars” and “Devil’s Deck.”
In 1983, Coney Hatch toured as an opening act on the Iron Maiden, Fastway arena tour.
The Coney Hatch discography consists of 4 studio records: ‘Coney Hatch’ 1982, ‘Outa Hand’ 1983, ‘Friction’ 1985 and ‘Four’ 2013.
During this interview, Carl and Andy talk about their two new studio tracks, It’s About a Girl” and “Heaven’s on the Other Side” from their recently released live record “Postcard From Germany-Live”,” their upcoming concert opening for Kim Mitchell in North Tonawanda NY on September 23, 2023 and much more.
