Buffalo, NY – Everclear, the legendary post grunge, power-pop rock band from Portland, Oregon, rocked the Town Ballroom with a high energy set that included many of their hits from their 30-year career. Everclear, which currently consists of 62 years of age, band founder Art Alexakis on vocals and guitar, with Freddy Herrera on bass, Brian Nolan on drums and Dave French on guitar, celebrated the 30-year anniversary of their first record “World of Noise” and the release of their brilliant live record “Live At The Whiskey A Go Go” which hit the shelves on September 9th.

The nearly sold-out show was a testament to Everclear’s longevity and influence in the rock scene. They have sold over 6 million records worldwide.

Their best-selling records were:

Sparkle and Fade” (1995): Peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200, sold over 1.19 million copies in the US.

“So Much for the Afterglow” (1997): peaked at number 33 on the Billboard 200, sold over 2.2 million copies in the US.

“Songs from an American Movie Vol. One: Learning How to Smile” (2000): peaked at number 9 on the Billboard 200, sold over 1.28 million copies in the US.

“Songs from an American Movie Vol. Two: Good Time for a Bad Attitude” (2000): peaked at number 66 on the Billboard 200, sold over 250,000 copies in the US.

Highlights of the show included the performance of the big hits “Father of Mine”, “AM Radio” “I Will Buy You a New Life”, “Santa Monica” and a new studio track from their recent live record called “Sing Away,” This passionate and intense anti-suicide song was first featured on Art Alexakis’s 2019 solo album, ‘Sun Songs.’
