Terry Ilous – XYZ, Land Of Gypsies, Great White (2010–2018)- Rock Interview Series Episode #42- video interview

Welcome to episode #42 of the Rock Interview Series with special guest Terry Ilous vocalist and songwriter of the 80’s hard rock band XYZ.

During this feature, Terry discusses a new band that he is currently involved with called the Land Of Gypsies. Besides Terry, the Land Of Gypsies consists of producer and bassist Fabrizio Grossi (Glenn Hughes, Supersonic Blues Machine, Eric Gales, etc.), Serge Simic on guitar (The Slam, Supersonic Blues Machine) and Tony Morra on drums.

Land Of Gypsies recently released their fantastic, self titled 11-track debut record on Frontiers music. If you are of fan of well-crafted melodic songs, and enjoy bands such as Foreigner, Bad Company and Whitesnake, you will love the Land Of Gypsies.

Terry also gives us an update on the status of XYZ, and reflects on the band’s first two studio records, the self titled “XYZ” record released in 1989 and produced by Don Dokken and “Hungry” which was released in 1991. Over their career, XYZ have sold over 2 million records worldwide.

In addition, Terry discusses his time in the legendary classic rock band Great White, in which he was lead vocalist from 2010-2018. He also reflects on his abrupt dismissal from the band, and how it ultimately become a blessing in disguise.
