APPICE – “MONSTERS & HEROES” A Tribute to Ronnie James Dio song/video.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of legendary metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio. As a tribute, the band APPICE has put together a truly powerful song/video to commemorate the life of Ronnie James Dio entitled “Monsters & Heroes.”

The band APPICE consists of Ronnie’s former drummer in DIO, Heaven & Hell, and Black Sabbath-  Vinny Appice, along with his brother, the iconic rock drummer Carmine Appice. In addition, Appice also features Buffalo Hall of Fame inductee and award winning vocalist Jim Crean.  The lyrics of the track were written by former Rough Cutt vocalist, Paul Shortino.  The band also includes Artie Dillon -guitar and James Caputo-bass.

In 2002, I decided to started my own music webzine, and it was then that I launched GlamMetal.com.  This was a site that primarily focused on the many great hard-rock bands of the 80's such as Motley Crue, Poison, Ratt, and you know the rest of them. Then in 2009, I decided that I wanted to write about all types of music, so I changed the site name to RockMusicStar.com.  This way I could truly cover all different types of rock music.
