Buffalo, NY – Former Pink Floyd leader and rock legend, Roger Waters, brought his 1979 semi-autobiographic concept record and epic masterpiece, “The Wall,” to life in front of awestruck, sold-out crowd on this first official day of summer. This show was nothing short of extraordinary, with some of the most modern, state of the art effects utilized, great visuals and a crystal clear sound mix. This was rock theater brought to another dynamic level. It took Waters thirty years to finally have technology catch up with his conceptual demands and aspirations for his masterpiece. But, now at the young age of 68, Waters can finally relish in the fact that the live performance of “The Wall” is just as brilliant as the record.
Waters was in great spirits on the evening, smiling and jumping around the stage, his backing band was comprised of veteran session musicians that included ex-Saturday Night Live band leader GE Smith on guitar.
The Roger Waters’ “The Wall” tour will be playing across the east coast of North America for the next month. If you get a chance, you absolutely must check this truly spectacular show out!
