Nils Goldschmidt – Velvet Chains – Rock Interview Series – Episode #36

Welcome to episode # 36 of the Rock Interview series. My guest for this feature is Nils Goldschmidt, bass player and leader of the hard rocking band Velvet Chains.

Velvet Chains is a four-piece band that was formed in 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition to Nils, the band also includes: Jerry Quinlan: lead singer and rhythm guitar, Laurent Cassiano: lead guitar and back vocal and Noelle Schertzer: drums.

They released their debut 10-track album entitled “Icarus.” on September 24, 2021. The band’s sound can best be described as a mix of post grunge, alternative and early Guns n’ Roses.

Velvet Chains is one of the most exciting new bands out right now. Their first single is a track called “Tattooed” and features guest guitarist Richard Fortus of Guns n’ Roses. The band also released an epic, must see video for this track (see below).

In 2002, I decided to started my own music webzine, and it was then that I launched GlamMetal.com.  This was a site that primarily focused on the many great hard-rock bands of the 80's such as Motley Crue, Poison, Ratt, and you know the rest of them.
