Pre-concert review- Foreigner- Artpark, Lewiston, NY – 08-27-2019

By John Jeffrey

The iconic, legendary rock band, Foreigner, returns to Artpark, next Tuesday (August 27th)  for last show of this season’s summer long, “Tuesdays in the Park presented by M&T Bank” 2019 concert series. This stop is part of the band’s, “The Hits on Tour” run, which wraps up on September 29th, only to segue into the group’s next concert trek, “Double Vision: Then & Now,” which begins on October 3rd. The “Double Vision: Then & Now” tour will coincide with an October album and video release (of the same moniker), chronicling concert events from 2018, which featured the original lineup of Foreigner along side the current lineup.

With 10 multi-Platinum albums and 16 top 30 hits, Foreigner is regarded as one of the most popular touring rock acts in the world. Responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems, including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Long, Long Way From Home” and the worldwide No. 1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” Foreigner continues to rock the charts more than 40 years into the game. You can guarantee you will see and hear all of these hits performed by a band heading into uncharted territory, as being one of the first classic rock bands in history, that plans on continuing to tour into the foreseen future, without any of it’s original members.

Front-of-stage (standing-room-only) and reserved seating tickets are sold out, but you can snag general admission seats for $17 for the remainder of this week, and then it’s $22 the week of show. Ticket fees include a facility charge; additional fees apply for online and phone orders.

Tickets can be purchased online at artpark.net, tickets.com, by phone at 1-888-223-6000, or in person at the Artpark box office, 450 S. Fourth St., Lewiston, New York (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
