Welcome to episode #30 of the Rock Interview Series. For this feature, guitarist/songwriter Doug Aldrich is our special guest.
Aldrich has one of the most impressive resume’s in rock music. During his almost 40 year long career, Aldrich has performed in the following bands: Lion (L.A. based Glam-metal band), Hurricane, Bad Moon Rising, Burning Rain, DIO, Whitesnake, Revolution Saints (with Jack Blades from Night Ranger).
Currently, Aldrich is in the all-star, hard-rock band, The Dead Daisies, which also consists of ‘Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame’ inductee- Glenn Hughes (vocals, bass), David Lowy (rhythm guitar) and Tommy Clufetos -(drums) . Aldrich has been a member of the Dead Daisies since 2016.
The Dead Daisies released their fifth studio record, “Holy Ground” on January 22, 2021. This critically acclaimed, 11 track release is certainly a contender for best rock record of the year. The chemistry between Hughes, Aldrich and Lowy is uncompromising, resulting in a collection of memorable songs with thundering bass, melodic vocals, and scorching guitar.
The Dead Daisies will be embarking on a world tour starting on September 10, 2021 and going deep into 2022.
