Welcome to episode # 52 of the Rock Interview Series with guest Tommy Decarlo, vocalist of the legendary rock band BOSTON .
The story of Tommy Decarlo’s journey to becoming the lead singer of Boston is truly fascinating. In 2007, shortly after the tragic death of long time BOSTON vocalist Brad Delp, Tommy Decarlo was discovered by the leader of Boston, guitarist/songwriter/band leader-Tom Scholz.

Since then, Tommy Decarlo has performed 326 shows with BOSTON and sang vocals on 4 tracks on BOSTON’s last studio release “Life, Love & Hope.”
In addition, Tommy Decarlo also is the lead vocalist of another band called, Decarlo. They released their debut record, “Lightning Strikes Twice” on January 24, 2020. The band also consists of Tommy’s son- Tommy Decarlo, Jr. -Lead Guitar/Keyboard/Vocals., Payton Velligan – Lead & Rhythm Guitar/Keyboard/Lead Vocals, Christian Sturt – Drums/Percussion/Vocals, Edward Sturt – Bass Guitar.
Tommy also released an tell all audio book called, “UNLIKELY ROCKSTAR- The Tommy Decarlo Story,” in late 2021.
Tommy Decarlo is currently on tour performing an evening of classic BOSTON songs. He will be playing a date in Batavia, NY on June 17th.
